Hilton Hotel Jaipur, India

When you first land in Jaipur city, be ready to embrace all the little surprises that this city has to offer. With all its colors, incredible architecture, this place will not leave you indifferent. But one thing is for sure, at the end of the day, after all the walking and exploring, you will need a place to relax and reset. For me, the Hilton Jaipur Hotel was the perfect place to call “home”. I was lucky to stay 5 nights there, so if like me you choose this hotel, here’s a preview of what your stay could look like.

My favorite things:

-The free breakfast buffet: Open from 7am to 10:30, it provides all kinds of sweet and savory dishes. You can get an omelet made by a chef, get cereals, English breakfast, fresh fruit, yogurt, toasts, and all kinds of Indian dishes as well. They had freshly pressed watermelon juice and coffee or tea too. I believe they also have some kombucha usually, although I didn’t get to try it. You can also get something to go and sit by the pool for a lazy morning.

Safety: As a woman, especially in India, finding a safe place is my top priority. I have felt really comfortable around the hotel and the staff is respectful and courteous.

-The view from our room: It’s simply gorgeous. We also could see the sunset from our room, even though it’s always better to go to the rooftop to see it.

-The view from the rooftop: First, I absolutely loved the rooftop, it has a restaurant and a bar. It is very comfortable and it wasn’t crowded. The restaurant opens around 7 but you can go anytime if you want to see the sunset. Actually on that note, I tried but was not able to find a decent rooftop anywhere else in Jaipur so I was really glad that the one at the Hilton was top notch.

-The pools (one for adults, and a less deep, narrow one for children): The outside area is partly shaded and has tables with comfortable sofas. There are also 3 lounging chairs for some sunbathing.

-The travel desk which I found very helpful. They gave us lots of advice and we rented a driver and a guide who were both amazing. For those touristy attractions where you don’t really know how to trust to give you a good service, knowing that the Hilton had great contacts was gold (or gems in this case haha).

-The central location: The hotel is located in a calmer part of the city, yet everything is easily accessible. The main attractions like the Hawa Mahal and old town are a 30 min drive. The roads are great, and I would not want to be closer to the old town because it can get overwhelming. So for me it was a great location.

The rooftop & food
